In this system developed by Visa and Mastercard in order to increase the security of online shopping, during any payment transaction, you are directed to the website of the bank that owns your card and verification is performed with the password belonging to your Credit Card. In this way, even if your card number is known by others, you ensure your electronic security because only you know your password. The application of the system prepared for the use of Visa credit cards is called "Verified By Visa" and the application prepared for the use of Mastercard credit cards is called "SecureCode". No additional fee is required to activate this system.

Why Is 3D Secure Safe?
In the 3D Secure system, while the virtual payment is being processed, the bank asks the cardholder for a payment password known only to him and the identity of the cardholder is verified. In this way, it is ensured that the use of credit cards in the internet environment is prevented by unauthorized persons.

How Does 3D Secure Work?
The cardholder registers his card to his bank via internet banking. The cardholder makes his shopping in the virtual workplace compatible with the system and when the password to be entered in the payment section is verified by the bank, the shopping transaction is completed.
